Who are you?
In 2015, GripTough® was founded as the" child company" of CamStand®, which was founded in 1995. GripTough® was a "consumer" cell phone and sports camera mounting device manufacturer and supplier in Sacramento, California. The original products were The "Selfie Can" and "Wedgit."
Currently, it is developing GripTough® MMS and utilizing and modifying CamStand® legacy components.
What is GripTough® MMS?
GripTough® MMS is a 3 part system. The first part is the MMS Base. The second part is MMS Gizmo, and the third is the attachment.
If I had 3 MMS Bases, 4 Gizmos, and 4 attachments, how many devices could I create?
Since you can repurpose parts with the MMS Systems\ so you could create 48 different devices. 3 x 4 X 4 (B X G X A)
What is a MMS Attachment?
An MMS attachment is anything that can attach to the MMS Gizmo.
Can I create my attachment?
Yes. (Generally) As long as the attachment has a 1/4" - 20 threaded port and the gizmo is compatible in various ways
What is a MMS Base?
An MMS Base can be anything that is magnetic. Examples: refrigerator, Steel worktable, car roof, body or hood, steel tool chest, steel plate. GripTough® MMS bases include Tabletop Bases, Worktable Clamps, Pipe Clamps, Boards / Trays, and Peel-and-Stick UHB Metal disks for attachment on non-metal surfaces such as a car dashboard.
Can I make my own MMS Base?
Yes, as long as it is magnetic. Steel and magnetic stainless steel surfaces are excellent. Non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, plastic, or wood first need a metal disk attached to them. GripTough® has UHB peel-and-stick metal disks for non-ferrous objects. With these disks, you can create bases that are only limited by your imagination.
What is a MMS Gizmo?
A MMS Gizmo has a magnet for the bottom that attaches to the MMS Base. This magnet has a part that may flex or have an articulated joint, a tube or rod, or another style of object. Gizmos are only limited by your imagination. Third-party devices that have a magnet can usually be used as gizmos.
Can I create my own MMS Gizmo?
Yes. Almost anything you create with a magnet could be used as a Gizmo
